One Afternoon, In Front of the Casting Team
New York Fashion Week runs September 11–13, 2026, and the designers showing that weekend build their runway lineups from The Bureau’s casting pool. On Thursday, September 10, the casting team holds an open, in-person casting at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, Studio 17B — one afternoon, 12:00 to 3:00 PM, right in the middle of Manhattan.
This is a working casting, not a cattle call. You reserve a specific 10-minute window before you arrive, you walk for the casting team during your window, and you’re done. Each window holds up to 10 models, so the room stays small and the team actually sees you.
To be clear about what this is: casting attendance is an audition. Walking well on September 10 puts you in front of the people assembling the lineups — final show placements are decided by the designers themselves as the weekend comes together.
How Slot Reservation Works
The process is deliberately simple:
| 1. Register | Submit the form below — who you are, your division and height, a headshot, and a comp card. Two minutes, free, no agency required. |
| 2. Pick your slot | Qualified registrants are taken immediately to a private portal to choose a 10-minute casting window between 12:00 and 3:00 PM. Elle from our casting team also texts you the link, so you can pick from your phone. |
| 3. Show up | Arrive at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, Studio 17B a few minutes before your window on Thursday, September 10. Check in, walk, done. |
| 4. The shows | Designers build their September 11–13 lineups from the casting. Selected models get show details — call time, fitting, logistics — confirmed directly by the casting team. |
Each 10-minute window holds up to 10 models — when a window fills, it’s gone. Registering early gets you the pick of the afternoon.
Who the Casting Is For
| Divisions | Womens and mens. You’ll select your division when you register. |
| Height | Confirmed shows require 5’8” and above (womens) and 5’11” and above (mens). Under the bar? You can still submit to be kept on file for future seasons. |
| Age | 18+ only. There is no minor or guardian-consent track for this casting. |
| Representation | No agency required. Agency-represented models are welcome — list your agency in the form so bookings get coordinated properly. |
| Experience | New faces are cast every season. A strong walk on the day matters more than a long resume. |
What to Bring on September 10
| Comp cards | Bring physical comp cards if you have them. Don’t have one? You’ll upload a photo or screenshot of your card (or a simple one-page layout with your stats and two photos) when you register — that covers it. |
| Heels | Womens division: bring heels you can walk confidently in. You’ll walk in them. |
| Clothing | Simple, fitted clothing — plain tee and jeans or similar. The casting team needs to see your proportions and your walk, not an outfit. |
| Makeup & hair | Minimal makeup, hair off the face. Come as a blank canvas — that’s what designers cast from. |
| Timing | Arrive a few minutes before your reserved window. Ten minutes is your slot — be ready when it opens. |
