Walk at
Fashion
Week
LA Fashion Week — October 16–18, 2026
Paris Fashion Week — October 2026
To model at fashion week, you apply directly to the production. The Bureau casts models — womens, mens, and non-binary/unisex divisions — across its three fashion weeks: New York Fashion Week (September 11–13, 2026), Los Angeles Fashion Week (October 16–18, 2026), and Paris Fashion Week (October 2026). No agency or referral required — submit the application below with four photos, a walk video, and your measurements, the casting team personally reviews every submission, and designers build their runway lineups from that pool as the season approaches. Applicants must be 18 or older.
Runway Casting, Without the Gatekeepers
Most aspiring models assume fashion week casting happens behind closed doors — agency packages, private castings, industry referrals. Some of it does. At The Bureau, it doesn’t have to. We produce fashion weeks in three global markets — New York, Paris, and Los Angeles — with hundreds of designers showing per season and events drawing 12,000–15,000+ people in person plus millions in digital reach.
That volume of shows needs a deep, current casting pool every single season — far more faces than any one agency roster supplies. This page is the front door to it: one application, four photos and a walk video, personally reviewed, no agency required. Agency-represented models are welcome too — there’s a field for your agency so bookings get coordinated properly.
If you’re here for the short answer: skip to the application. If you want to know what we cast, how selection works, and what walking a Bureau season actually looks like, the next five sections cover it.
What We Cast
Model bookings at a Bureau season fall into a few recurring shapes:
| Runway shows | The core booking — walking a designer’s collection in front of a room of thousands. Hundreds of designers show per season, and each one builds a lineup from the casting pool. |
| Multi-show seasons | Models who fit several designers’ looks get booked across multiple shows in one season — more runway time, more content, more designer relationships from a single application. |
| Presentations & features | Not every designer moment is a traditional walk — presentations, styled features, and event moments around the shows get cast from the same pool. |
| Return seasons | Models who show up prepared and deliver are fast-tracked for future Bureau seasons — in the same market or another one. One good season compounds. |
Divisions are open: womens, mens, and non-binary/unisex. There’s no single height or size cutoff — designers cast for their own collections, and a season with hundreds of designers needs a wide range of looks. Submit accurate measurements and let the casting team match you to the shows where you fit.
Three Fashion Weeks, One Application
The Bureau produces fashion weeks in three global markets, each running season by season:
| New York Fashion Week | September 11–13, 2026 — the flagship season, at Gotham Hall in Midtown Manhattan. Three days of shows and the densest casting slate of the year. |
| Los Angeles Fashion Week | October 16–18, 2026 — two seasons per year on the West Coast, with a heavy creator and entertainment-industry audience in the room. |
| Paris Fashion Week | October 2026 — The Bureau’s independently produced Paris season, staged in the 2nd arrondissement during the Paris season. International applications welcome — note your base city in the form. |
You’ll pick a specific market and season in the application — and if the casting team sees a fit for you in another market, they’ll reach out directly. Curious what the events themselves are like? Start with what fashion week actually is and the NYFW hub. And if your craft is performance or backstage rather than the runway, The Bureau also books performers and hair and makeup artists for the same seasons.
How Casting Works
The process is deliberately simple:
| 1. Apply | Submit the form below — who you are, your measurements, which market(s), four photos (headshot, full body, 3/4 shot, comp card), and a walk video. Ten minutes, free, no agency required. |
| 2. Review | The casting team personally reviews every submission — there’s no algorithmic filter. What carries the review: current, honest photos; accurate measurements; and a clean walk video. |
| 3. Shortlists | As designers confirm their shows, the casting team builds shortlists from the approved pool and designers pick their lineups. This runs season by season — a strong application that misses one season is kept in view for the next. |
| 4. Book | Selected models get their show details — call time, fitting, and logistics — confirmed directly by the casting team. Compensation is per booking and discussed individually. There is never a fee to be cast. |
What doesn’t matter: agency representation, follower counts, or having walked a fashion week before. New faces are cast every season — the application has an experience level for exactly that.
What Walking at Fashion Week Gets You
A fashion week booking is a different asset than a test shoot or a local show:
The room. Bureau events draw 12,000–15,000+ people in person per event — designers, press, buyers, creators, and an audience that came to watch culture get made. These are rooms where being seen compounds.
The reach. Fashion week is one of the most-documented event formats on earth. Bureau seasons generate millions in digital reach — and the runway is the most-filmed moment of it. Professional runway footage and photography from a real show is portfolio material you can’t stage on your own.
The proximity. Hundreds of designers show per season, each one a brand that books campaigns, lookbooks, and shows year-round. Walking puts you in front of the people who book models — repeatedly, per season, in three markets.
The credit. “Walked at New York Fashion Week” is a line that changes how the next casting conversation starts. It’s verifiable, it’s specific, and it travels — to agencies, to clients, to every market.
What to Submit
Four photos and a walk video are required, and the photos don’t need to be professional — casting teams prefer a current, honest phone photo over an old retouched editorial:
| Headshot required | Face forward, natural light, minimal makeup, hair off the face, no filters, no sunglasses. The casting team needs to see you. |
| Full body required | Head to toe, standing, fitted simple clothing (plain tee and jeans or similar). Plain background, no heavy posing. |
| 3/4 shot required | Mid-thigh up, same rules as the full body — it’s how designers judge proportion for their looks. |
| Comp card required | Your model card with stats and photos. A clear photo or screenshot of it is fine — if you don’t have one yet, a simple one-page layout with your stats and two photos works. |
| Walk video required | A short clip of your runway walk, filmed straight-on in good light — phone video is fine. MP4, MOV, or WebM, up to 95MB. |
Photos and your walk video upload straight from your phone or computer inside the application — photos as JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 15MB each, video as MP4, MOV, or WebM up to 95MB. The walk video is the single most important part of a new-face application: it’s the closest thing to seeing you on the runway.
