01 — Accreditation

Who Qualifies for Paris Fashion Week Press Credentials

We accredit media whose work reaches an audience that cares about fashion — whether that audience reads a masthead or follows a handle. Four profiles carry most approvals:

Journalists

Staff writers and freelancers with a current assignment or an active publication covering fashion, lifestyle, culture, or entertainment. Name your outlet on the form — assignment letters help freelancers. English and French-language outlets are both welcome.

Photographers

Runway, backstage, and street-style shooters with a working portfolio. Credentialed photographers shoot from designated media positions — the head-on runway angle general tickets can’t buy.

Videographers

Broadcast, documentary, and digital video crews. Each crew member applies individually — note your team in the story angle field and we’ll coordinate the credentials together.

Digital Creators

Established creators with a significant, engaged following relevant to fashion week coverage. Link the platform where your audience actually lives — reach and relevance carry the review.

Applicants should have a current assignment, active publication, or significant following relevant to fashion week coverage. Building an audience but not there yet? Paris Fashion Week by The Bureau is publicly ticketed — you can cover the season on a regular ticket, no credentials required.

02 — Access

What Media Accreditation Includes

Press credentials are working access, not VIP seating. Here’s what accredited media get — and the on-site protocol that comes with it:

Media PositionsAccess to designated media positions for runway photography and general venue access throughout the event. Seating is not included with standard press credentials — media are positioned in the designated press area.
RunwayRunway photography and filming from the designated media positions. No flash — designer-specific requests are communicated on-site.
BackstageAccessible with backstage media credentials — coordinate with the media liaison on-site.
VenueOpen for photography throughout the event — Espace Cléry sits in the Sentier, the 2nd arrondissement quarter that has cut, sewn, and shipped Parisian fashion for generations, and the street outside shoots as well as the runway inside.
EquipmentDSLR and mirrorless cameras permitted. Tripods in designated areas only; monopods permitted runway-side.
Embargo & CreditNo embargo for general coverage — designer-specific embargoes are communicated individually. Published media should credit “Photo: [Photographer] / Paris Fashion Week by The Bureau” and The Bureau Fashion Week®.

Editorial usage is covered by accreditation; commercial usage (advertising, brand partnerships) requires separate approval — email info@thebureaufashionweek.com. Planning your coverage? The Espace Cléry venue guide covers the building and the neighborhood, and the what-to-expect guide shows what a Bureau Paris season looks like.

03 — The Process

How Accreditation Review Works

The process is deliberately simple:

1. ApplySubmit the form below — who you are, your outlet, your role, a link to your work, and your planned story angle. Five minutes, free.
2. ReviewThe media team personally reviews every credential request — there’s no algorithmic filter. What carries the review: an active outlet or audience, relevant recent work, and a concrete story angle.
3. Hear backTypically within 48 hours of submission. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but credentials are limited — apply early.
4. Check inApproved media receive confirmation with check-in details ahead of the season. Bring photo ID matching your application. Espace Cléry is a short walk from Métro Sentier (line 3) and Bonne Nouvelle (lines 8/9).
“A specific story angle beats a big masthead. Tell us what you’re actually planning to cover — we’re accrediting coverage, not collecting logos.”
What the credential review actually looks for

Covering New York or Los Angeles instead? The Bureau produces New York Fashion Week (September 11–13, 2026) and Los Angeles Fashion Week (October 16–18, 2026) — apply through the LA press page and pick your market there. This page’s application covers Paris, October 2026.

04 — The Application
