Quick Answer

LA Fashion Week by The Bureau runs two seasons in 2026: the March season ran March 13–14, and the next season runs October 16–18, 2026 — Friday through Sunday — at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood. Tickets are open to the public, no invitation required, but October tickets haven’t been released yet: the waitlist gets the show lineup, pricing, and first access before anyone else. For reference, March 2026 ran GA at $65, Reserved at $95, and Front Row VIP at $195–$295 per show.

When Is LA Fashion Week 2026?

The short version: the next LA Fashion Week runs Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18, 2026, at The Lot Studios, 1041 N Formosa Ave, West Hollywood. That’s the answer most people searching “when is LA Fashion Week” actually need — and if that’s you, the only other thing worth knowing is that tickets aren’t out yet and the waitlist hears first.

The longer version is that 2026 has two LA seasons. The March season already ran — March 13–14, 2026, five runway shows across a Friday evening and a full Saturday, with the complete March schedule archived here. October is the second act, and the one you can still get into.

02 — The Two-Season Calendar

Why LA Runs in March & October

Fashion operates on a two-season year — collections show months before they reach stores — and LA Fashion Week follows that rhythm: one season each March, one each October. It’s the same cadence The Bureau runs in Paris, while New York holds its flagship slot each September. That’s not trivia; it’s the planning skeleton for anyone who wants runway shows on their calendar every year.

Here’s how the Bureau’s 2026 runway year lays out from here:

September 11–13New York Fashion Week — Gotham Hall, Manhattan · tickets on sale now
October 16–18Los Angeles Fashion Week — The Lot Studios, West Hollywood · waitlist open
OctoberParis Fashion Week — The Bureau’s Paris season runs the same month
March 2027The next LA spring season — dates announced after October wraps

The five-week gap between New York and Los Angeles matters more than it looks. It means doing both coasts in one season is genuinely practical — September in a 1924 Manhattan ballroom, October on a Hollywood studio lot — and plenty of guests do exactly that. If you’re choosing one, the NYFW vs LAFW guide breaks down how the two rooms differ.

03 — How the Schedule Works

What an LAFW Show Calendar Looks Like

The October show calendar is announced when tickets are released — but the anatomy of a Bureau LA season is consistent, and the March 2026 archive shows the shape. That season ran five runway shows: Friday at 6pm and 8:30pm, then Saturday at 2:30pm, 5:30pm, and 8:30pm. Each show is a multi-designer program — several collections walk back to back in a single ticketed block, so one evening delivers a full cross-section of the season.

Three things follow from that structure when you’re planning around the October 16–18 dates:

Evening shows are the flagships. The 8:30pm Saturday slot has historically been the season’s biggest room. If you want the fullest version of the spectacle, plan around an evening block — and note that October sunsets in LA land right around golden hour on the lot, which is exactly as photogenic as it sounds.

Every show sells in three tiers. General Admission, Reserved Seating, and Front Row VIP — same runway, same designers, different seats. Day and weekend passes covering multiple shows have also been part of past seasons. The tier logic and March reference pricing are covered below.

Doors matter. Shows start on schedule and check-in lines form early — arrive 30–45 minutes before showtime. The pre-show hour on a working film lot is half the experience anyway: street style at the gates, the soundstage filling up, a hundred years of Hollywood around you. The venue guide covers The Lot’s history, parking, and the West Hollywood neighborhood around it.

When Tickets Drop, and What March Cost

The question under every dates search is really “when can I buy?” — so here’s the honest state of play. October 2026 tickets have not been released, and a public on-sale date hasn’t been announced. When the release happens, it happens in order: waitlist members first — lineup, pricing, and purchase access — then the general public. Joining the waitlist costs nothing and is the entire to-do list between now and the drop.

For budgeting, use the March 2026 season as your reference point — labeled as reference, because October pricing isn’t set:

General Admission$65 per show — full show, seated best-available within the GA section
Reserved Seating$95 per show — assigned seat, arrival time stops being strategy
Front Row VIP$195–$295 per show — row 1, priority entry, the seats the cameras find

Two practical reads on those numbers. First, a professionally produced runway week with a public $65 entry is rare — in most cities, this experience is invitation-only or simply doesn’t exist. Second, because each show is a multi-designer program, even the GA ticket is a full evening, not a single 12-minute walk. If it’s your first season, the first-timer guide walks through how the tiers feel from inside the room.

05 — Planning Around the Dates

Booking October Before Tickets Exist

A mid-October weekend in Los Angeles is easy to plan early, and there’s no reason to wait for the ticket release to lock the logistics.

Travel first, tickets second. If you’re flying in, October 16–18 is a Friday-to-Sunday footprint — arrive Thursday or Friday morning, leave Sunday or Monday. Mid-October is prime LA weather and flights are rarely the constraint, but West Hollywood hotels tighten on event weekends; booking with free cancellation now costs nothing and beats scrambling after the lineup drops.

Stay west, not downtown. The venue sits at Formosa and Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood — LA is a drive-to market, and staying in WeHo, Hollywood, or Beverly Hills keeps show-night rideshares to minutes instead of a crosstown crawl. There’s no subway stop nearby; rideshare drop-off at the Formosa Ave entrance is the low-friction play, with structure and street parking in the area if you drive.

Dress for a desert October. Mid-October LA runs warm and golden by day, then drops fast after sunset — and runway soundstages are air-conditioned. Whatever you plan to wear, plan a layer over it. The what to wear guide goes tier by tier, day show versus evening show.

Block the whole evening. Between the pre-show scene, the runway program, and the after-buzz around WeHo, a show night runs two to three hours minimum. Eat beforehand — the neighborhood delivers, starting with the 1925 Formosa Cafe next to the studio gates.

Can’t Wait for October? New York Runs First

If the October dates feel far off, the Bureau’s flagship season lands five weeks earlier: New York Fashion Week, September 11–13, 2026 at Gotham Hall — and unlike LA, NYFW tickets are on sale now. Same producer, completely different room: a Beaux-Arts ballroom instead of a soundstage, Manhattan pace instead of golden-hour WeHo. The two-city September–October run has become its own tradition among returning guests.

And if you’re reading this after October 18, the machine doesn’t stop: LA’s next season lands in March 2027, with dates announced after the October season wraps. The waitlist and the LA Fashion Week hub are where those dates surface first.
